Are they a danger to humans? I am using rubber gloves when removing them, using a plastic container. I have never seen this parasite before in any of my ponds. What is the solution? I obviously cannot be hand removing them each day, in order save five goldfish. I suppose one solution is to remove the fish, toss out the polluted fluke infested water and then start over with fresh pond water. Any other solutions? Do you know of a substance that I may add to the water to kill them. All of this manifestation happened, when I noticed small pin feathers in the water. Those feathers are a clue that cat must have killed baby birds and then perhaps was washing itself at the pond&amp;#39;s edge. I was wondering if the flukes were introduced from the birds or the cat into the pond water. Where do they come from? Thanks for responding with solutions.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/34127514/3275879573928162166/comments/default/4233861844482450936'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/34127514/3275879573928162166/comments/default/4233861844482450936'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.fish-as-pets.com/2007/09/monogenean-parasites-marine-fish.html?showComment=1278270349911#c4233861844482450936' title=''/><author><name>Pinson Cosmetics</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/06465533594005086252</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.fish-as-pets.com/2007/09/monogenean-parasites-marine-fish.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34127514.post-3275879573928162166' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/34127514/posts/default/3275879573928162166' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
